Orthodontic treatment for adolescents usually begins after all the adult teeth have come through, between the ages of 11 and 13.
Following an assessment, we will discuss with you and your child the most appropriate corrective treatment and explain the options available to achieve an optimal long-term result. Treatment may vary; although it most commonly involves fixed braces. This of course will depend on your child's personal needs.
Treatment can take 6 to 24 months, during which time we will carefully monitor you child's progress and oral care. Regular appointments will be required to adjust and maintain the braces.
